II. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 · Welcome to Beijing
Route: Airport or railway station → Hotel → Independent leisure time
Your first day is deliberately unhurried. Arrive, settle into your hotel and let the city come into focus at your own pace. Beyond the imperial landmarks, Beijing is also a living capital of neighborhood cafés, busy avenues and striking contemporary architecture.

Arrival: Meet your driver at the agreed airport or railway station meeting point, then transfer to your Beijing hotel. Pick-up arrangements are coordinated with your confirmed arrival details.
Afternoon: Check in when your room is available. Depending on your arrival time, rest after the journey or enjoy an independent stroll near the hotel. There is no guided sightseeing today.
First Impressions · A Capital of Contrasts
Historic rooflines and modern towers belong to the same city. Even a short outing can reveal a different side of Beijing: a quiet local street, a lively restaurant or the glow of the skyline after sunset. Choose what suits your energy level and leave the main sightseeing for tomorrow.

Evening: Dinner at your own pace. Your consultant can suggest nearby options suited to your tastes. Overnight in Beijing.
Trip Highlights: A smooth arrival, time to recharge and a relaxed introduction to the capital.
Day 2 · Imperial Beijing & Local Life
Route: Tiananmen Square → Forbidden City → Shichahai → Acrobatic performance
Today moves from the ceremonial heart of Beijing into the intimate scale of its old neighborhoods. Grand palace courtyards give way to lakeside paths and narrow lanes, before an evening performance adds a lively final chapter.

Morning: Meet your English-speaking guide and visit Tiananmen Square, followed by the Palace Museum inside the Forbidden City. Your guide introduces the setting, symbolism and stories behind the capital’s imperial center.
The Forbidden City · Beyond the Red Walls
For centuries, this palace complex was the home and ceremonial center of the Ming and Qing emperors. Its sequence of gates, vast courtyards and golden-roofed halls expressed an ordered view of the world. Look beyond the scale of the buildings to the details: roof ornaments, painted beams and carefully framed views from one courtyard into the next.
Your experience: Follow the palace route with your guide and discover how architecture shaped public ceremony and private life. The exact visiting order follows the confirmed admission arrangements.

Lunch: Pause for a meal and a break before continuing into the old city. Restaurant choices and any included meals will be specified in your final itinerary.
Shichahai · Lakes, Lanes & Everyday Beijing
Afternoon: Explore Shichahai, where connected lakes and traditional hutong lanes reveal a gentler rhythm of city life. Stroll beside the water and through the surrounding neighborhood with your guide.
Gray-brick walls, courtyard entrances and willow-lined banks create a different kind of beauty from the palace. Notice small details, hear neighborhood stories and enjoy the contrast between Beijing’s monumental landmarks and its lived-in streets.
A Lively Finale · Chinese Acrobatics
Evening: Enjoy the acrobatic performance included in the planned route, with its focus on balance, coordination and physical skill. The venue and performance time are confirmed when your arrangements are finalized. Return to your hotel for a second night in Beijing.
Trip Highlights: Imperial architecture, the atmosphere of old Beijing and an entertaining evening performance.
Day 3 · The Great Wall & Olympic Beijing
Route: Beijing hotel → Badaling Great Wall, with round-trip cable car → Olympic Park → Beijing hotel
Leave the city for the mountains and one of China’s most memorable landscapes. Watchtowers follow the ridgelines into the distance, while the return to Beijing brings a striking contrast: the contemporary architecture of the Olympic Park.

Morning: Travel to the Badaling section of the Great Wall with your guide. Round-trip cable car access is included in the planned arrangements, followed by time to explore the wall at a pace suited to your group.
Badaling · Walk Along the Mountain Ridges
The Great Wall is most powerful when experienced on foot: a turn in the path reveals another tower, and a climb opens a new view across the hills. At Badaling, the restored battlements make the scale and setting of this defensive landscape easy to appreciate.
Your experience: Take in the panorama, pause for photographs and let your guide explain the role of the towers and mountain passes. Cable car access eases the approach, although the wall itself still includes steps and slopes. The walking section is adapted to your comfort and the day’s conditions.

Lunch: Take a meal break before the return journey to the city.
Olympic Park · A Different Side of the Capital
Afternoon: Return to Beijing and visit the Olympic Park area. View the landmark exteriors, including the distinctive Bird’s Nest stadium, and enjoy the contrast with the historic architecture seen earlier in your trip.
The sweeping structure of the stadium gives the city a bold modern silhouette. This stop is planned around the outdoor park and architectural views; entry to individual venues is subject to your confirmed itinerary.

Evening: Return to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed dinner or a quiet evening after the day’s walking. Overnight in Beijing.
Trip Highlights: The Badaling Great Wall, round-trip cable car access and Beijing’s Olympic architecture.
Day 4 · Imperial Gardens, Heaven & Old Beijing
Route: Summer Palace → Temple of Heaven → Qianmen Street
A lake garden, a ceremonial sanctuary and a historic shopping street each tell a different story about Beijing. Today combines the elegance of imperial landscapes with the geometry of sacred architecture and the energy of the old city.

Morning: Visit the Summer Palace with your guide. Explore selected lakeside paths, garden architecture and viewpoints, with the walking route adapted to the day’s timing.
The Summer Palace · A Landscape Composed Like a Painting
Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill form the setting for an imperial garden of pavilions, bridges and richly decorated corridors. The appeal lies in how the views unfold: water framed by a roofline, a bridge reflected in the lake or a hillside building glimpsed through the trees.
Your experience: Slow down to appreciate the relationship between architecture and landscape. Your guide brings context to the garden while leaving time to enjoy its open views. The light and seasonal scenery will be different on every visit.

Lunch: Enjoy a meal break before continuing across the city.
The Temple of Heaven · Meaning in Every Line
Afternoon: Explore the Temple of Heaven park and its ceremonial architecture according to your confirmed admission arrangements.
Here, the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties performed rituals connected with heaven and the harvest. Circular forms, raised terraces and ordered spaces give the complex a distinctive visual language. The blue-tiled Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is one of Beijing’s most recognizable landmarks.
Your experience: Discover the symbolism behind the buildings and enjoy the transition between formal ceremonial spaces and the surrounding park.

Qianmen · Street Life & Beijing Flavors
Late afternoon and evening: Continue to Qianmen Street for a stroll among historic-style storefronts, traditional brands and lively shopping streets. Take in the neighborhood’s atmosphere before returning to your hotel.
Food can be part of the discovery too. If you would like to try Peking duck, tell your consultant so a suitable restaurant can be discussed. Crisp skin, thin pancakes and fresh accompaniments turn a meal into a shared experience. Dining images offer inspiration; restaurant and meal arrangements are confirmed with your final itinerary.
Trip Highlights: Classical gardens, the Temple of Heaven and the street atmosphere of Qianmen. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 5 · A Leisurely Farewell
Route: Independent leisure time → Hotel pick-up → Airport or railway station
Keep your final hours flexible. Enjoy breakfast, revisit a nearby shop or simply take your time before continuing your journey. Today’s schedule follows your departure arrangements.

Morning: Free time without a guide. Any independent activity should leave enough time to return to your hotel for the agreed pick-up.
Departure: Meet your driver at the confirmed time and transfer to the airport or railway station. Your consultant coordinates the transfer with your travel details and the time needed for departure procedures.
Trip Highlights: An unhurried finish and an arranged onward transfer.
